Mimi had quite the birthday celebration this year! We started off her day right at Dunkin' Donuts and half of us still in pajamas.
She picked out a pink sprinkled donut of course.
And then the awesome manager had helped us and we told him it was her birthday. Before we left, he handed her a special pink and purple donut that said "Happy Birthday" on it. It was such a sweet gesture that made Mia feel so special.
Once Daddy got home, it was time for gifts. She got the Lalaloopsy baking oven that she had been asking about for months.
She was extremely excited about it!
She helped me make her birthday cake that day because she loves to bake. She could not wait to eat it!
Jason and I took her to a restaurant we had not yet been to called Pies and Pints because she wanted pizza but did not care where it came from.
They give the kids their drinks in adult sized coffee cups which made her appear older than I liked but she definitely felt like big stuff drinking out of it.
After lunch, we headed to Claire's for the rest of her birthday gift. She had been asking to get her ears pierced for awhile so it was finally time. She was definitely nervous but played it cool.
She was so tough and took it like a champ. No tears. She chose pink sparkly hearts for her first earrings and they looked so perfectly cute on her little earlobes.
She could not stop looking at herself in the mirror. It was precious. She was so happy she did it.
Following the ear piercing, we headed to Target because this also happened to be the year Mia would start kindergarten and she needed to pick out her first real backpack.
She made an adorable choice and did not want to let go of it.
The date was not over yet because we had to end it with ice cream, of course. Better yet, pink ice cream. So much fun with our little sweetheart.
This was Mia's year to get a little party too so the celebrations continued.
It was a simple little black and white panda party with family. We just had a good old fashioned summer cookout with hamburgers and hot dogs.
Our niece, Tia made her this absolutely adorable cake! It was perfectly Mia complete with a pink bow. It was almost too cute to eat, but Mia couldn't wait to dig in.
A happy birthday indeed.
