Tyson's birthday fell during our vacation this year and he did not mind that one little bit. Who wouldn't want to have their birthday at the beach? He woke up to donuts that morning and got to blow out a candle first thing.
It doesn't make any sense to me that he is already 8 years old.
We moved to the balcony for presents after donuts.
He really wanted a basketball so he was a bit excited.
And then we got his fund started for an outdoor basketball hoop he had been dreaming about for the new house.
We spent his special day at the beach and pool and then walked to our favorite vacation restaurant. It just can't get too much better than that.
Once we were home from vacation, he got his Mommy/Daddy birthday date. We took him to eat and then he got to really try out his new basketball.
Basically, he had "the best birthday ever" which he told us that multiple times. Love this boy.
