trick or treat

Trick or treat night did not disappoint.  One of my favorite nights of the year.  The kids get so excited and they actually pose for pictures because they have to before I will let them go beg for candy.  However, this year after several pre-pictures, my camera lens decided to not stay attached to the camera and stopped working altogether.  I am so thankful for the photos I did get...

We weren't sure if we could top Tyson's UPS costume from last year but we at least came close.  He made the cutest mechanic (or "bechanic" as he says)!  Everyone went crazy about him and asked him if he would work on their car or change their oil.  He kept saying "I am just wearing a costume".

One old lady said, "Well, now that is the cutest thing I have seen all night."  I completely agreed.

Avery decided to wear pink leggings and polka-dot socks instead of white tights with her Princess Belle costume.  She also decided not to wear her crown because it was hurting her head.  Oh, well.  She still looked like a beautiful princess.

The neighbors across the street are close to the ages of Avery and Tyson and the girl's name is Avery so they think that is great!  They were so excited to compare costumes and talk to each other from across the street when we came outside.

They weren't super cooperative for the pics of all three but I still LOVE this one.  Avery was fixing the pink bow on our little giraffe's ear and Tyson was making sure she was okay.

The many times we had tried this giraffe jacket on Mia, she would immediately pull it down and refuse to wear it.  For some reason, on this night, it was as if she knew what to do.  She didn't touch it, never even attempted to take it off, and smiled cooperatively for the camera.

I love how she gets down backward off of everything.  We had to teach her that at a very young age since she is a crazy climber.

She was seriously adorable and extra sweet that night.

She had so much to entertain her that she didn't mind spending an hour and a half in her stroller.

I am already thinking about next year's costumes.  Although I am sure Avery won't want to be anything but a princess for the next several years.  I wonder what kind of worker Tyson can be next year...hmmmm...maybe a park ranger?
