valentine's day

Valentine's Day is a favorite of mine.  I love, love, love to create Avery's valentine for school with plenty of input from her, of course.  This was what we ended up with this year.  She held a large piece of scrapbook paper and then I wrote the words on top with picmonkey.  I realized later it would have been way cuter to have her actually write the words herself and then take the picture.  Oh, well.  I still love it!

I have so much fun setting up the table for Valentine's morning!  This year, I used the same tablecloth and added cute Target $ spot activity placemats which were super fun and the kids loved playing tic tac toe especially!

Their mailboxes were just filled with candy and a handmade Valentine hairbow for the girls.  Jason talked to Tyson a lot about how Valentine's Day was really for the girls and how they can do extra special stuff for their girls.  Jason & Tyson gave the girls some pretty purple nail polish.  So fun!

They even had little doily coasters for their cups!  : )

Avery sporting her new hairbow and hard at work on her placemat.

Mia was so cute coloring her monkey.

I put the following pic on Instagram.  It was what we came home to after dropping Avery off at school, the aftermath of our Valentine morning.  I love it.

Avery wanted to sleep in foam curlers the night before.  She loves to do that for special days.  She wore her love shirt from last year and completed the outfit with her Christmas pajama pants and tutu.  She couldn't wait to go to school that morning.

And our spunky little Mimi chose her Valentine outfit too.

My baby girls lovin' on each other.  Melts my heart.

Violet was pretty excited about her first Valentine's Day.

And thanks to Grandma & PaPa, I got to be in charge of and attend Avery's class Valentine party.  It was a blast...more on that tomorrow.

My mom got the kids those same mailboxes from Target. They look especially cute with the initials on them. And love Avery's curls.
