Handmade gifts are my favorite. I love to make them and love to receive them. This year, I made a couple small keychains for stocking gifts (that weren't really worth photographing) and these play kits that I love so very much. I have showed you a restaurant kit before but I took it to a whole new level. I realized that it would be much more fun if all the menu items were available in felt form to complete the kit.
These heart boxes from Target are so stinkin' cute. I use them in the girl's closet and they were perfect to hold the restaurant kits.
The first one was a joint gift for our three little nieces. I had so much fun putting this kit together that I was giddy through most of the process.
The ravioli is my favorite. Whoever originally thought of that is genius. So ridiculously cute. Our nieces decided they were crackers. That works too. Love it.
A hamburger on a sesame seed bun.
What kid doesn't like grilled cheese?
I made them each a personalized little apron out of an Ikea dishtowel. I was so excited to call the restaurant the "3 Sisters Cafe". It's the little things.
The order taking pads fit perfectly in the large pocket on the aprons.
Then I made a little one for Avery's friend, Ella. It was "Ella's Breakfast Diner".
The bacon makes me laugh and felt cinnamon rolls are just awesome.
Avery completed Ella's kit by adding a paper computer for her to place the orders. Love it.
Mia just might need one of these for her birthday this summer.

That is such a cute and thoughtful gift!
You (and Avery) think of everything!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE THIS! What a great gift!
Hi, I came across your cute gift on pinterest and I was just wondering if you made the order pads or bought them? This all is so cute!
Hi AmberLou. Thanks for your sweet comment! I bought the order pads in a pack of 4 at Wal-Mart. You can also get similar ones at office supply stores. Hope this helps! : )
