mia grace, (almost) 2 1/2

Dear Mia Grace,

You choose your own outfits these days.  And they are wild ones.  They totally fit your personality and since you are my third baby, I have learned to let a lot of things go.  It's not easy since you have a closet full of beautiful clothes and you choose to wear the same few things all the time.  Your short sleeved Hello Kitty shirt was replaced with a long sleeved one you got for Christmas.  Most days, you can be found sporting it with a skirt (or "skirk" as you call it), leggings, or possibly pajama pants.

On this day, however, in the middle of winter, you chose a sleeveless onesie, which was fine since we weren't going anywhere, leggings, and a skirt.  You asked for pigtails and I was happy to fulfill that request.  You later added the fake high heels to complete the ensemble.  You wore it all proudly. You are so beautiful.

You typically like photo shoots and are more than happy to participate as long as you call the shots.  That is kind of the way you roll in general.  You try to run things around here.  We don't allow that to happen but you sure give up a good fight.  You are a little firecracker.

Your prayers are still extra long and they mostly consist of the request for God to "make Mommy Daddy feel good".  We appreciate those prayers so much.  You occasionally ask for other family members to feel good or be "strong and helfy".  If we ever start eating before praying, you will exclaim, "We forgot the pray!"  You are awesome.

You are wonderfully entertaining.  You love to get a laugh and a rise out of people and will go to great lengths to do so. You love to make up songs and dance around the room with or without music.  You love an audience unless you are putting your baby dolls to sleep in which case you will ask me to not look and say, "awww, so sweet".  You are so much fun.

You love accessories.  You love bows, necklaces, bracelets, shoes, etc.  You are fancy.

You still love taking care of your baby dolls.  You take such good care of them.  You are so motherly.

You open books and make up your own stories as if that is truly what the book says.  Your Violet enjoys it when you read to her.  I love it.  You always finish with "The End" of course.

You will turn anything into a phone and walk around talking on it mimicking what you have seen me do.  This time, it was a Dora domino that you pretended was a phone.  I love it.

You have a large vocabulary and continue to act older than you really are.  You are one intelligent little lady.

You continue to make sure doors are shut and things are in their proper place.  You are so neat.

I love every little thing about you so very much, my little Mimi.

Thanks for keeping me on my toes!
Mommy
