1.) I said goodbye to Lemon Tree this week...at least for now. It is a bittersweet thing. I am relieved on one hand and sad on the other. I know it was the right choice for right now. I sure am thankful to have been an LTC girl! What a fun adventure it has been!
2.) Remember this Christmas sign (super inspired by Barn Owl Primitives) from the picture of my mantel during Christmas?
Well, I flipped it over and painted an everyday sign. I absolutely LOVE it and am so excited! It has such a happy feel. Jason and I decided it is our new family verse. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Such a great one to live by.
2.) Next week is finally Avery's turn to be "Star of the Week" in kindergarten. She has been waiting for this since the first day of school! She cannot wait. She gets to decorate a poster to help her classmates and teacher get to know her better, she gets to share it and something else with the class, and take home the class mascot. Avery's dream come true.
She seriously set this up and asked me to take her picture with all of her stuffed animals for her school poster. She is awesome.
3.) Also, my big girl has a thing for unicorns. She draws them all the time. She thinks they are real. How cute is this unicorn?
4.) We have been growing out Tyson's hair for fun. We weren't sure what was going to happen because we pretty much always shaved it. Well, I really love it but it is starting to get a little out of control right now. It may be time for a little trim.
5.) There was a rainbow the other night. Who doesn't love to see a rainbow?
HAPPY FRIDAY!

1.I love, love, love your everyday sign that you painted! Did you use your silhouette for it? We've been talking about coming up with our family rules and I love putting your family verse up to see every day...I might put Carl to work with his craft skills! :) 2. Avery is so funny with all her stuffed animals...that's so cute! Can't wait to hear about her star of the week, week! 3. Tyson's hair is adorable. I've thought about growing Quint's out, but he has so many calics that it might be bad. PS. Loved hanging out! (longest comment ever!)
Very cool sign with a great verse! And yes, Avery is awesome...I couldn't think of a better Star of the Week. :)
Tiffany, any chance you can share how you made your sign? It's simply fantastic! Thanks! Oh, and I'm making my way through the Duggar's book that you mentioned a while ago in a post. It's really insightful--thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Hi Esther, thank you so very much for your awesome comment!
I sent vinyl through my Silhouette machine to cut a stencil, placed it on the sign, and then painted to my heart's content. : )
Without a Silhouette, you could paint your letter colors first and then place letter stickers where you want them and paint your background color around them. Does that make sense?
Hope this helps. If you have any more questions,
just let me know. : )
What a fun round up! I LOVED your holiday sign, and I LOVE your family verse sign! It's beautiful, I pinned it already! :)
I noticed Tyson's hair getting longer in your pics, it's cute!! It helps keep their heads warmer in the winter too, so there is some function with the cuteness. :)
How fun that Avery is the student of the week! I love that she set up a little scenario for you to take a picture of! Hilarious! These kids know us. :)
Happy weekend!
Avery's love of unicorns reminds me of Kate's. She has somewhat moved on to just regular horses now, but I remember at one point she told me "Mom, if we ever get a pet, it will definitely be a pegasus unicorn." It was all I could do not to bust out laughing at the time.
That is the most beautiful sign! You could SO open your own store and make millions!
